Well Now I've Gone and Done IT............

signed up for a MARATHON that is!!  Holy Smokes - I did it.  I signed up for the Walt Disney World Marathon next January.  I am excited, nervous, anxious - you name it - I am it!  I know I have a long, long road ahead of me to train for 26.2 but I'm ready for the challenge.

Other exciting news for today I won a Blogger Giveaway too.  Thanks to Rose at Eat, Drink, and be Meiri for the AWESOME give away!!

Lastly, my back is continuing to improve.  So far this week I have gotten in 2 miles (on the treadmill), 1000 Meters of swimming, and 2 hours of cycling!!!  Another 2 mile run in the morning.  Wahoo.....I feel like me again!

What a GREAT Tuesday!

  10. I've done the Disney half a couple of times. The first time I saw the lead pack coming back on the out and back from the magic kingdom and someone in the top 50 was dressed as tinkerbell. I mentioned it to my daughter and she commented "Tinkerbell can really fly." This tinkerbell was an asian man though.

    Exciting stuff.

  14. Committing to a big event is an important step. You've got plenty of time and the big goal will give you all the motivation you need for some really big fitness gains this year. Good luck on your journey!

  17. Glad to hear that your back is doing better! When we hurt, it does put a little damper on enthusiasm to exercise.

Have FUN at the Disney Marathon. My running partner and I are signing up for the Princess Half next February.

  22. Yahoooooo for Disney! I'm so excited for you! You picked a great first one, for sure. I've heard Disney really does it right!

Exciting, too - I may be doing it as well! I'm just not sure quite yet, but we're considering it. Now, if I have to go all the way to Florida to meet a fellow Kansan...that's just not right. :)
