OK, sorry, but my post title has absolutely nothing to do with my post today, but for some reason, it was just in my head this morning. So I used it :)
Alot of fellow bloggers have "3 Things Thursday", I'm not sure if I want to make that a regular feature on my blog, but I thought since I'm still relatively new to blogging I would do a Three Things (About Me) Thursday so we could get to know each other a little better. So here are a three things you might not know or really care to know about me:
1. My favorite show when I was a child (no it wasn't the Muppet's, but close) was the Great Space Coaster. What is that I hear - crickets?? I know for some reason, alot of people don't remember this show at all - or perhaps you are too young. No Gnews is good gnews with Gary Gnu - ring a bell?. Nothing?
You've got to admit that's pretty cute |
3. I was born in Daytona Beach, Florida and lived about 20 minutes south of there in a small town called Edgewater until I was 13. Florida was absolutely the best place to grow up as a kid because you could almost always be outside. Then my family moved to an even smaller town in Eastern Kentucky (Louisa) for the next 12 years. In August, I will have lived in Lee's Summit, MO for 11 years. So that 13, 12, and 11 years - sounds like it's time for me to move somewhere new for the next 10 years.
Hope you
Okay, I don't remember that show at all. But I do love me some Muppets! Hippos are a great animal but they are second to penguins!

I vaguely remember that show. I was more of a GI Joe/Transformers kind of kid.
ReplyDeleteSo I know who your favorite Madagascar character is. "I like 'em chunky."
Lifelong SoCal resident. Can't imagine living anywhere else... unless it's in the Caribbean :)
Happy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteHippos, eh? I can see how they are lovable creatures...but you are officially the first person I know who has collected them.
Growing up in Florida really would be awesome. My daughters are getting some serious cabin fever this winter!

I have no idea what you're talking about! I mean, look at that aged and weathered video - when was it popular, 1961? Just how old are you?
ReplyDeleteJim - just so you know this ran from 1981 to 1986 so when I was in 1st-6th grades - were you in high school by then?
